Electroglass offers a number of voltage and power supply regulating options, typically with either stepless on-load regulation, or motorised on-load tap change systems, with or without high/low range selection for additional flexibility.
A full range of manual and fully automatic control options are available, including constant power control, current control, conductance or resistance control.
Comprehensive metering and alarm systems are part of every Electroglass design. Data logging, custom trends, detailed alarm information, report generation, intergration into factory networks are options that are all available. SCADA sytems supplied include, Wizcon, RSview and Citect. At Electroglass we acknowledge that glass melting and conditioning is a 24hour process and all systems are offered with secondary backup metering for additional security. Designed, assembled and tested in our own workshops allow for full control over quality and specifications, in addition we now have UL approval for control systems.
The power racks are modular in design, each module contains the power regulator complete with all protective switchgear, this offers great flexibility for the installation and maintenance.
The full range of power control options are applied to all thyristor controlled heating zones, these include both phase angle and burst firing modes. With the developement of modern thyristors, the ability to switch "on the run" between the firing modes can offer substantial energy savings without affecting flexibility.
Phase balancing systems, current balancing transformers, Scott wound transformers, 3Ph isolating and auto wound transformers, 1Ph isolating and auto wound transformers, air cooled, mineral oil cooled, Midel 7131 cooled, air forced and water cooled are all options that are available to allow intergration into our customers power networks with the minimum of disruption.
